Protagonists: Isaac Clarke returns as the main hero, joined by Sergeant John Carver for the co-op experience.
Combat: Features a shift towards action with abundant ammunition, a new cover system, and the ability to build and customize weapons using scavenged parts.
Co-op: Players can team up online in a drop-in/out co-op mode to fight the Necromorphs together.
Setting: The game takes place primarily on the ice-covered planet Tau Volantis, where players must survive treacherous environments.
Puzzles and exploration: In addition to combat, players will solve physics-based puzzles and explore various environments, including derelict ships in space and the frozen planet itself.
Story: The story continues Isaac Clarke's fight against the Necromorphs, which involves discovering the origin of the alien Markers.
