What we collect

• Identity & contact: name, email, phone, delivery address, billing address.

• Account data: login/email, order history, wishlists.

• Order & payment: items purchased, totals, payment status; card data is handled by our payment gateway (we do not store full card numbers).

• Delivery details: recipient name, address, special instructions.

• Trade-in / repairs (if you use these services): your contact info, device details/serials, photos you provide.

• Support & comms: messages, call notes, email/chat history, marketing preferences.

• Technical data: device/browser, IP, general location, pages viewed, cookies/analytics (see Cookie Policy below).

Why we process your data (lawful bases under POPIA)

We process personal information when it’s necessary for:

• Sales & fulfilment: to take orders, receive payment, ship goods, deliver digital items, manage returns/warranty. (performance of a contract)

• Customer service: to respond to queries/complaints & support repairs/warranty. (contract/legitimate interests)

• Legal duties: tax and accounting records, fraud prevention. (legal obligation)

• Business operations: to maintain our site, prevent abuse, and improve our offering. (legitimate interests per POPIA s11(1)(f))

• Marketing: with your consent, or if you’re an existing customer we may send you marketing about similar products with an easy opt-out, per POPIA s69.

Where we get data from

Directly from you (checkout, account, support), automatically via our website/cookies, and from third parties needed to complete your order (payment providers, couriers).

Sharing your data

We share only what’s necessary with:

• Payment processors (for card/EFT payments).

• Couriers (delivery name, address, phone) and collection partners when you book your own courier.

• IT/hosting/analytics providers that help us run the site and email.
  All operators (processors) are bound by contracts to protect your information.

International transfers

Our website/IT providers may store data outside South Africa. Where we transfer data cross-border, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contracts requiring protection substantially similar to POPIA).

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose collected—e.g., to complete your order, handle returns/warranty, comply with tax/accounting obligations—and then delete/anonymise it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can:

• Access your personal information;

• Correct or update it;

• Delete information we no longer need;

• Object to certain processing (including marketing) or withdraw consent;

• Complain to the Information Regulator if you believe your data rights were infringed. Lodge complaints via POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za and their website guidance.

Direct marketing

• We’ll only email/SMS you marketing if you opt in, or if you’re an existing customer (similar products/services) with instant opt-out in every message, per POPIA s69.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information (access controls, transport encryption, secure payment providers). No method is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Children

Our site is for general audiences. Purchases should be made by customers 18+ or with guardian supervision.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date.
